Wolfpack Knock Off Maple Grove In Battle Of Division 2 Baseball Leaders
CLYMER — Bryce Hinsdale, Trent Burchanowski and Gabe Roth combined on a four-hitter as Clymer/Sherman/Panama downed Maple Grove 9-1 in a Division 2 baseball game Friday.
The trio struck out nine and walked four.
“I was proud of how they came out to compete,” Wolfpack coach Jacob Marino said.
The win, which avenged a loss to the Red Dragons earlier this week, raised the Wolfpack’s record to 11-1 overall and 10-1 in the division, tied with Maple Grove (10-1, 10-1).
Leading the way offensively for CSP was Tate Catanese, who collected three hits, including a double, and drove in three runs. Austin White also had three hits, one a double, and had two RBIs; and Roth drove in two runs.
Jackson Gowan had two hits, one a double, for the Red Dragons. Sean Verbosky and Connor Reagle had the other two hits. Kolden McCall and Gowan gave up nine hits and struck out eight on the mound.
