HAMBURG — Balanced scoring propeled Jamestown to a 54-39 victory over Frontier in an Erie County Interscholastic Conference Division 1 basketball game Thursday night.

Alyson Canfield, Mickia Freeney and Kylie O’Brien all had 13 points as the Red Raiders raised their record to 5-5 overall and 3-5 in the division.

Canfield had all of her points in the first half when Jamestown jumped out to a 28-16 lead. Freeney also had 11 rebounds and seven assists; O’Brien grabbed 10 rebounds; and Saydee Johnson added 7 points and 12 boards. Marley Drake chipped in 8 points.

The Red Raiders will be back in action at 1 p.m. Saturday when they entertain Wilson (11-2).

WARRIORS RALLY

NORTH COLLINS — Salamanca erased a nine-point halftime deficit to beat North Collins 44-39 in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association East Division girls basketball Thursday.

The Warriors (5-7, 4-2) trailed by eight entering the fourth quarter, but Karina Crouse scored 8 of her team’s 15 points while they held the Eagles (4-7, 2-5) to just 2.

Jillian Rea led Salamanca with 15 points and four rebounds; Crouse had 10 points, five rebounds and three assists; and Bella Wolfe had 8 points, nine rebounds and three steals.

Michaela Rice led North Collins with 13 pionts and Hailey Jasinski had 9.
