Cortes Pours In 24 For Silver Creek Boys
FALCONER — Silver Creek’s start to the boys basketball season has gone according to script.
Ray Cortes has been a big reason.
The sophomore poured in 24 points, including 17 in the first half, and grabbed 22 rebounds to lead the Black Knights to a 71-36 nonleague victory over Falconer on Monday night.
Matt Woleben chipped in 22 points, including 10 in the second quarter, when the visitors outscored the Golden Falcons 26-8 to take a 46-20 lead at the break.
Gavyn Wood and Jake Swanson both had 10 points for Falconer (0-3).
