North Collins Sweeps Salamanca
SALAMANCA — North Collins improved to 2-0 with a three-game sweep of Salamanca 25-8, 25-12 and 25-9 in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association East Division girls volleyball Friday.
Michaela Rice had 11 aces and two kills; Cate Ayers had seven assists and five aces; and Mckenna Rice finished with six kills and three aces for the Eagles, who will participate in the St. Mary’s Tournament today.
Bella Wolfe had a block while Jillian Rea, Karina Crouse and Brianna Benjamin each had an ace for the Warriors (0-2, 0-2).
GOWANDA PREVAILS
ELLICOTTVILLE — Gowanda outlasted Ellicottville 25-12, 22-25, 25-13, 23-25, 25-16 in the East Division.
In defeat, Allison Rowland had 16 kills, nine digs and seven aces; Cora Norton had eight kills, four digs and two aces; Tristin Bomberry had eight kills and four blocks; and Natalee Leeper had 21 assists, three digs, two aces and two blocks.
RANDOLPH SWEEPS
CATTARAUGUS — Eve Adams had 17 kills and six aces as Randolph swept Cattaraugus-Little Valley 25-8, 25-12, 25-12 in the East Division.
Rian Finch added 13 kills, two aces and a block; Payton Morrison had four kills and four blocks; and Mya Abrams had 22 assists and eight aces for the Cardinals.
PINE VALLEY TAKES MARATHON
SOUTH DAYTON — Pine Valley won a marathon against Silver Creek 25-15, 22-25, 19-25, 25-11, 25-21.
