Jackals Pull Off Weekend Sweep In Erie

ERIE, Pa. — Raheem Singleton led six players in double figures with 32 points, including 9-of-11 shooting from beyond the 3-point arc, as the Jamestown Jackals punctuated a pair of dominant weekend performances with a 127-95 victory over Syracuse in action from The Basketball League.

Playing at the Boys & Girls Club of Erie, the Jackals led from start to finish on Sunday to raise their record to 3-1, a day after routing the South Shore Monarchs, 138-102.

On Sunday, Jamestown jumped out to a 44-25 lead after the first quarter and never looked back. Joining Singleton in double figures were Four McGlynn (21 points), Christian Nobles (15), Bernard Edwards (14), Eric Mack (13) and Chris Clover (11).

Daniel Mulamba grabbed 10 rebounds, Edwards had four assists and Nobles collected four steals to aid the Jackals, who shot 43 of 90 from the floor (47%) compared to 34 of 93 (37%) for the Stallions.

Jimmy Gray led Syracuse with 19 points.

On Saturday, Jamestown had eight players score in double figures, scored 74 points by halftime and breezed to the win over the Monarchs.

Jon Lee and Nobles led the way with 20 points apiece, followed by McGlynn with 19, Glenroy Carr with 15, Mack with 14, Rick Curry with 12, and Joshua Dominguez and Clover with 10 apiece.

The Jackals shot a blistering 53 of 93 from the field (57%), while limiting South Shore to just 37 of 99 (37%).

Mulamba grabbed 10 boards, and Nobles had seven rebounds and six assists in the winning effort.

Mike Pierre had 24 points, Kachi Nzerem added 23 and Jonathan Perez had 20 to lead the Monarchs.
