Community Holiday Haul

The eighth annual Community Holiday Haul to benefit St. Susan Center began Thursday and will run through Saturday in front of the Jamestown Cycle Shop on Harrison Street in Jamestown. The hours are 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. today and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday. Among the suggested donations are perishables, including fresh and canned fruit; deli meats; sliced cheese; coffee; 100% juices; bottled water; and soup crackers. Non-perishables include: dish soap; toilet paper; larger garbage bags; paper towels; plastic spoons; napkins; tissues; paper lunch sacks; sandwich baggies; and laundry detergent (ALL or ERA). Cash donations are also welcomed. In the past seven years, Martin has collected 77,000 pounds of food and supplies, plus $83,000 in monetary donations.
