Penn-Ohio Pro Stocks To Visit Eriez Speedway On Sunday

HAMMETT, Pa. — The Penn-Ohio Pro Stock Championship Series will take center stage at Eriez Speedway on Sunday night for a $1,000-to-win special sponsored by GTS Classic Motors LLC for the Curtze Food Service Street Stocks.

Along with the Penn-Ohio Series, the Mill Run Collision Super Late Models, the Nic Dit Trucking RUSH Late Models, the Waterford Hotel E-Mods, the Johnson’s Car Care and Collision Economods, and the L & D Tree Service Challengers will present regular-length programs of heat and feature events.

Defending champion John Boardman leads the Curtze Food Service Street Stocks points battle by 55-points over another former class champion, Jimmy Kennerknecht. Steve Yokum is third, a mere six points behind Kennerknecht. Fourth is Douglas Eck with Michael Reed fifth. In Penn-Ohio points, Jackson Humanic leads Andrew Gordon by 13 as the season draws to a close. Jason Fosnaught is third, 10 points from Gordon with former Eriez champion Chris McGuire fourth, another fifteen back. Josh Seipple is fifth only four points behind McGuire. Hunter Exley and Fosnaught were tied for the 2019 Penn-Ohio points championship.

With a 118-point lead with the season winding down and only 62 points available on any given night, Dave Hess Jr. is a heavy favorite to be 2020 Mill Run Collision Super Late Model champion. If Hess becomes the 2020 champion, it will be his fifth. In these waning weeks of the season, second place is undecided as Michael Knight is only a single point ahead of Steve Kania. Fourth is Darrell Bossard, another 19 points back with Chris Hackett 13 points back in fifth.

The Nic Dit Trucking RUSH Late Model points are currently being led by Darrell Bossard by 30 points over Breyton Santee. Kyle Zimmerman, a former champion, is third 62 points behind second.

John Boyd is the leader for the Waterford Hotel E-Mod championship chase by one point over Randy Hall. Mike McGee is third, 52 points behind Hall. Every position in heats and features will be extremely important for both drivers fighting for the championship.

Matt Alexander heads up the Johnson’s Car Care and Collision Economod standings by a mere seven points over Bob Vogt. Steve Simon is third, another 58 points back.

Chris Horton holds a 14-point lead over Mark Lawrence as the season for the L&D Tree Service Challengers championship nears the finish line. Zack Eller is another 51-points behind in third.
