Rebels Shut Out In Johnstown

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. — A lack of offense was too much to overcome for the Jamestown Rebels as they fell to the Johnstown Tomahawks, 1-0, in North American Hockey League East Division action Saturday night at 1st Summit Arena at Cambria County War Memorial.

Bennett Stockdale’s 12th goal of the season from Malik Alishlalov and Tristan Poissant at 8:35 of the second period was enough for Johnstown (30-13-2-2), which received 30 saves from goaltender Alex Tracy in the shutout.

Noah West stopped 18 of 19 shots he faced for the Rebels (18-27-1-2), who went 0 for 4 on the power play.

Jamestown returns home next weekend for Friday and Saturday 7:05 p.m. games against the New Jersey Titans at Northwest Arena.
