Demarri Jones scored 22 points and pulled down 11 rebounds to help Jamestown beat Clarence, 74-64, in Erie County Interscholastic Conference Division 1 action Saturday afternoon. Jones also had 18 points and 12 rebounds as the Red Raiders topped nonleague McKinley, 93-57, on Thursday night at McElrath Gymnasium.

Panama

Kylie Schnars had 19 points, seven rebounds, a team-high five blocked shots, three steals and an assist as Panama topped Southwestern, 58-42, in nonleague play Wednesday night. The senior also had 20 points, four rebounds and two blocked shots as the Panthers beat Westfield/Brocton, 63-32, in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 2 West play Friday.

Luke Tomlinson, a sophomore, won the 150th match of his career, 14-3, over Randolph’s Xander Hind on Saturday at the Gowanda Invitational, to improve to 36-1 on the season. At the invite, Tomlinson also pinned Eden’s Shane Walczyk in 2:46 and Franklinville/Cuba-Rushford’s Nolan Palmatier in 30 seconds. On Wednesday, Tomlinson pinned Dunkirk’s Jayden Rodriguez in 2:33 at 132 pounds to help the Red Dragons to a 54-18 victory over Dunkirk.

Kyle Dean won the 50-yard freestyle in 22.39 seconds at the Erie County Interscholastic Conference Swimming & Diving Championships on Saturday at Sweet Home High School. Dean also finished second in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 49.61 seconds, less than .3 seconds behind winner Luke Sapio of Orchard Park. Dean was also part of the second-place 200-yard freestyle relay team (1:32.57) and the second-place 400-yard freestyle relay team (3:24.71).

Colton Cappalino

Colton Cappalino fired a 247-231-667 to lead Jamestown to a 4-0 sweep of Southwestern and the Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 1 boys bowling championship Wednesday at Jamestown Bowling Company. Cappalino’s series helped the Red Raiders finish with a team linescore of 1,072-1,041-891-3,004.

Dunkirk

Rachel Glowniak tied the Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association’s high game of the year with a 278 while adding games of 225 and 239 for a season-best 742 series in the league as Dunkirk wrapped up a perfect Division 1 girls bowling season with a 4-0 sweep of Fredonia at Lucky Lanes on Wednesday. Glowniak’s series helped the Marauders finish a perfect 32-0 for their fourth straight league title, going 149-3 over the past four seasons.
