Clarence Trims Jamestown In League Finale

CLARENCE — Despite dominating the end of the meet, Jamestown came up just short in an 83-81 Erie County Interscholastic Conference Division 1 swimming and diving loss to Clarence on Friday.

The Red Devils did not place in the top three of any of the final five events, but by that point had built up a big enough lead to win.

Phillup Harris was a double winner for the Red Raiders (4-8) with victories in the 100-yard backstroke (1:19.09) and 100-yard breaststroke (1:13.85).

Jaydon James qualified for the ECIC Championships in both the 50-yard freestyle and 100-yard butterfly.
