DUNKIRK — Olivia Smith poured in 29 points, including nine 3-pointers, and Nadara Odell added 26 points and 16 rebounds to spark Dunkirk to a 101-43 nonleague girls basketball victory over Tapestry on Thursday night.

Jessica Beehler added 11 points, nine rebounds and 13 assists; Amari Carter scored 11 points; and Kymi Nance chipped in 10 points and seven rebounds.

Playing “the system,” which feature multiple substitutions and just as many 3-point attempts, the Lady Marauders led 18-7 after the first quarter and 49-16 at the break.

“We just pounded the glass,” Coach Ken Ricker said. “That’s really the key to the ‘the system.’ All of our kids have to go to the glass and all of our kids have to be willing to give full effort.”

Providing a spark on the glass off the bench was Octavia Porter, who hauled down 15 rebounds.

Jordyn Williams had 22 points to pace Tapestry.
