Southwestern Suffers Loss To Allegany-Limestone

Allegany-Limestone (14-2) was able to come away with a 5-3 win over Southwestern (10-4) on the road Thursday night.

The Trojans did their best to fight back with two second-half goals by Allison Lundmark and another by Ellie Lawton, but the Gators would finish things off with an insurance goal by Grace DeCapua.

DeCapua would get her second of the night with four minutes remaining, while Alyssa Spring grabbed a pair of goals and Abbey Gardiner another for Allegany-Limestone.

Emily Kimball had two assists and Kim Truver a single helper for the Trojans, who had a standout performance in net by Hanna Johnson with 20 saves.

FALCONER POSTS SHUTOUT

FALCONER — Falconer (8-5-3) was a 6-0 winner over Fredonia (3-9-2) in CCAA West action.

Izzy Penhollow had two goals and three assists; Grace Penhollow two tallies, while Jill Holmberg and Sarah Meder had one goal apiece.

Grace Lundmark made two saves in the win.

BEARS POST 11TH WIN

FREWSBURG — Frewsburg (11-4-1, 8-3-1) rolled to a 4-0 win over visiting Pine Valley (0-15-1) in CCAA Central action.

Samantha Annis scored in the 13th and 25th minute from Emma Edwards and Rachael Kerhli respectively.

The Bears also had goals from Amanda Dilts and Makenna McBride, with Ashly Samuelson assisting on the latter.

SILVER CREEK PREVAILS

SILVER CREEK — Jaylah Cossin scored the only goal of the day in the 21st minute of the second half to give Silver Creek (9-7) a 1-0 win over North Collins (8-6-2).

Alina Beadle made four saves in the win.

JHS FALLS TO QUAKERS

ORCHARD PARK — Orchard Park (8-7-1, 6-5-1) was a 3-0 winner over Jamestown (2-14, 0-12) in ECIC Division 1 soccer action.

Aidan Fotevski, Daniel Mahany and Zach Poloncarz took care of the scoring.
