Rebels Lose 2 Of 3 In Trip To Maine

LEWISTON, Maine — The Jamestown Rebels’ weekend at Androscoggin Bank Colisee resulted in losses in two of three North American League games.

After a loss to the Maine Nordiques on Friday, the Rebels won, 4-2, on Saturday, but fell, 5-2, on Sunday to see their record drop to 2-8-0-2 to remain in last place in the East Division. Their six points are 10 behind first-place New Jersey.

Three second-period goals carried the Jamestown Rebels to a win over Maine on Saturday.

Kaysyn Kruse, Kyle Peters and Noah Finstrom found the back of the net for Jamestown in the decisive period. Jack Moore had the Rebels’ lone tally in the first period. Cannon Green scored for Maine. The Nordiques closed out the scoring in the third period on a goal by Jack Stauss.

Jon Howe made 31 saves for the Rebels.

On Sunday, the Nordiques scored two goals in both the second and third periods to post the win.

Kruse (first period) and Valerii Rykov (second period) tallied goal for the Rebels.

Howe and Noah West split time in goal.

Jamestown returns to action this Friday and Saturday when they entertain the Maryland Black Bears at Northwest Arena.
