BATAVIA — The Jamestown Community College men’s soccer team fell to Genesee CC, 5-0, in an NJCAA Region 3 Division III game Wednesday.

The hosts led, 2-0, at halftime and tallied three more goals after the break to drop the Jayhawks to 7-4-2 overall and 5-4-1 in Region 3 Division III.

Jakob Moore made 15 saves for the Jayhawks, who entertain Fulton Montgomery at 3 p.m. Saturday.

BATAVIA — Genesee Community College (8-3-0, 2-1-0) was a 9-0 winner over Jamestown CC (0-12-1, 0-2-0) in NJCAA Region 3 Division III women’s soccer action on Wednesday.

Julia Ashworth had three goals and an assist, Alexa Jordan two goals, Diante Scheepers one goal and two assists, while Madison Papaj, Khiva Huxhold and Sarah Grego each had singles tallies in the win.

Kayleigh Coolidge made six saves and Keira Johnson three saves for Jamestown CC.
