Jayhawks Fall To Pitt-Bradford Jayvees On ‘Sophomore Night’

Jamestown Community College fell to 19-5 on the year with a three-set loss to the University of Pitt-Bradford junior varsity team on Thursday night at the Physical Education Complex, 17-25, 20-25, 19-25.

The Jayhawks took the opportunity to honor six sophomores who will be graduating in the spring — Jenna Caskey, Maddy Russo, Megan Gominiak, Jennah Starkweather, Emma Wirsen and Cameryn Hawkins.

Russo finished her night with 33 assists, one kill and nine digs; Caskey collected eight kills, five digs and two blocks; Karleigh Haines had nine kills and three digs; and Alexys Marsh added eight kills, two digs, one ace and two blocks.

The Jayhawks will host a POD on Saturday with Jefferson CC, Cayuga CC and Onondaga CC in attendance before traveling to Erie CC on Tuesday.
