Frewsburg Girls Post Soccer Victory Over Fredonia

FREDONIA — Reagan Chitester and Emma Edwards both scored second-half goals and Frewsburg held off Fredonia, 2-1, in a nonleague girls soccer game Saturday.

Samantha Annis and Raena Bird assisted on the goals in support of the netminding duties of Madison Voty and Cadence Rodgers, who combined for seven saves.

Lauren Marshall, assisted by Paige Supkowski, accounted for the scoring for the Hillbillies. Kelly Gullo made five saves.

Emily Kimball’s goal at the 25th minute of the second half sent Southwestern to a 1-0 victory over Maple Grove in a nonleague game.

Allison Lundmark was credited with the assist in support of keeper Hanna Johnson, who made four saves.

Kasie Craig had 14 saves in net for the Red Dragons.

OLEAN PREVAILS IN OT

ELLICOTTVILLE — Alexis Gibson’s overtime goal — her second of the game — sent Olean to a 2-1 victory over Ellicottville in a nonleague game.

Recording an assist for the Huskies was Emily Gibbons in support of keeper Emma Edwards, who made three saves.

Jocelyn Wyatt, assisted by Camryn Earley, found the back of the net for the Eagles, who received 14 saves from keeper Brooke Eddy.

Southwestern remained unbeaten in West Division with a 3-0 win over Chautauqua Lake.

The Trojans are 10-5 overall and 9-0 in the division.
