The Jamestown Lakers went 3-0-1 in Western New York Amateur Hockey League action the past two weekends.

On Sept. 14, Cooper Spielman had a goal and two assists as the Lakers went to Northtown Center at Amherst and left with a 4-1 win over the Amherst Knights.

Trailing 1-0 midway through the second period, Tristan Spillane got Jamestown on the board with a goal from Spielman and Devin Wolfe. Less than two minutes later, the Lakers took the lead as Conner Maze scored from Jackob Guimond.

In the third period, Will Turner scored from Spielman before Spielman tallied from Turner and Spillane.

On Sept. 15, the Lakers played the Cheektowaga Warriors to a 0-0 tie at Northwest Arena with Kaleb Bender earning the shutout in net.

This past Saturday, Jack Brinkley scored all four goals for Jamestown in a 4-1 win over the Cazenovia Chiefs. Guimond, Turner and Maze had assists for the Lakers.

On Sunday night, Jamestown beat the West Seneca Wings by a 4-1 score. Spillane, Trenton Shutters, Collin Bentley and Thomas Lucks had goals while Turner, Spillane and Spielman each had an assist.

The Lakers return to action this weekend at Cheektowaga on Saturday evening and home Sunday at 3:20 p.m. against Amherst.
