Salamanca Picks Up Sweep Over Hinsdale
SALAMANCA — Makayla Burch had four aces, an assist and four digs to lead Salamanca to a 25-18, 25-13, 25-16 sweep of Hinsdale in nonleague volleyball action Monday.
Jillian Rea added three aces, three kills, an assist and seven digs while Jaedan Hubbard had an ace, two kills and two digs for the Warriors.
EMLEY LEADS PORTVILLE
PORTVILLE — Olivia Emley had five aces on 15 service points and added 24 digs as Portville swept Ellicottville 25-14, 25-10, 25-5 in East Division play.
Kylie Blessing chipped in seven kills, 25 assists and two aces; Reggie Tkacik had eight aces on 24 service points and six digs; and Tori Unverdorben had eight kills for the Panthers.
PINE VALLEY EDGES WESTFIELD
WESTFIELD — Pine Valley topped Westfield 25-10, 25-10, 24-26, 25-12 in North Division action.
For the Wolverines, Abbi Warner had four aces; Nel Maldanado had an ace, three kills and a block; Tanleigh Bestine had two aces, a kill, six assists and a block; and Keara Kincaid had an ace, six kills, a block and an assist.
COUGARS SWEEP HORNETS
FORESTVILLE — Cassadaga Valley swept Forestville 25-14, 25-16, 25-20 in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association North Division competition.
LEGENDS TOP JAMESTOWN
LANCASTER — Julia Pilecki had six kills as Lancaster swept Jamestown 25-13, 25-7, 25-12 in Erie County Interscholastic Conference Division 1 action.
Kayla Maslowski added three aces for the Legends.
