Rebels Pick Up First Win Of Season

ATTLEBORO, Mass. — The Jamestown Rebels picked up their first win of the season Friday, firing home three goals in the final period to claim a 3-1 victory over the Northeast Generals in North American Hockey League East Division action.

Neither team could find the back of the net though two periods, but Lewis Crosby, Ian Carpenter and Jordan Cormier would all find the back of the net for the Rebels in the third.

Matt Hubbarde would grab assists on the first two goals of the night, while Seth Bergeron, Zach Brydges, Mack Keryluk and Mike Mercurio all had helpers as well.

Noah West stopped 28 of 29 shots, with Tyler Cooper grabbing the only goal of the night for the Generals at 10:30 of the third.

The Rebels were 1 for 3 on the power play, with Carpenter picking up his goal with the man-advantage.

Jamestown is now 1-2-0-2 on the year and will face Northeast (2-5-0-0) again today at 2 p.m.
