On Sunday, Oct. 13, the Celoron Legion will host a benefit for Chautauqua County Correction Officer Dawayne Vanderwork from noon-6 p.m.

Vanderwork has been diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic renal cancer and will be starting treatment at Roswell Park in Buffalo immediately.

A lifelong resident of Jamestown, Dawayne is the father of 5-year-old Lexi and has dedicated much of his time to local youth football programs after his career with the Jamestown Red Raiders.
