‘El Bravo’ Wins Friday Night In Buffalo

On Friday night at the Buffalo Club’s annual Golden Gloves Invitational, Antonio “El Bravo” Torres of the Jamestown YMCA boxing club topped Vernon Webber of Detroit via third-round knockout in a super heavyweight bout. Webber came out strong but was stopped with a left hook early in the third by Torres, who will compete on July 27 in Rochester. Members of the Jamestown YMCA Boxing Club will be competing at Nasty Knuckles Gym, including Joel Ambrosini in his first bout and Josh Brunacini. The Club will also be hosting a boxing show on Aug. 24 featuring local fighters from Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, Erie and Cleveland.
