The Lakewood YMCA will honor the late Chris Elliot at the annual Family Golf Tournament at Chautauqua Point Golf Course on June 8. Elliot was president of the Chautauqua Point Golf Course, and was an avid golfer himself, having played for Coastal Carolina University and qualified for the New York State tournament as a freshman at Maple Grove High School. The tournament is a four-person scramble with tee times at 8:30 a.m. and noon. Check-in times are a half-hour before each flight. There will be a chicken barbecue following golf with awards. The cost is $45 per person, which includes greens fees, a cart and food. Shults Auto Group is sponsoring a hole-in-one contest with a prize of $5,000 going to the winner.
