Eppehimer Open Scheduled For June 22

LAKEWOOD — The 28th annual Eppehimer Open Golf Tournament will be held June 22 at Maplehurst Country Club. Proceeds from the tournament, which will begin with registration and lunch at noon and a shotgun start at 1 p.m., will be used for youth ministries for the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church. Those ministries include, but are not limited to, district youth camping at Delta Lake Family Camp.

In addition, a Hawaiian vacation will be awarded to anyone who records a hole-in-one.

The cost for the tournament is $70 per person, which includes golf and a cart, lunch, on-course beverages, chicken dinner and prizes. A special price of $45 is being offered to any pastors, ministers, priests or members of the clergy who would like to play in the event. There is still openings available for both individuals and teams as well as any businesses that would like to make donations to the event.

The tournament is a four-person scramble with prizes awarded for both women and men. In addition to the hole in one prize, other prizes will be awarded for men’s and women’s longest drives, men’s and women’s closest to the pin, and men’s and women’s closest to the line.

Dayle Keefer, the former pastor from the Fluvanna Community Church, will be giving the blessing for the food along with providing a short message during the dinner time.
