Barton won the Stock Division and Vincent won the Super Stock Division on Saturday during the local finals held on the John S. Sinatra Memorial Track outside Diethrick Park.

Of the drivers that placed in the top 8 of each division, five in the Stock Division and four in the Super Stock Division were first-time drivers.

The closest phase in the Stock Division was won by Barton with a differential of .003. The closest phase in the Super Stock Division was a dead heat with the overall winner of the heat being Damen Vincent.

A STEM fun race, which was a single-elimination non-qualifying race for drivers who, as part of their Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics-related classes or clubs built cars to race, was also held in each division.

Barton finished first, Kate Verdonik was second and Nick Tomlinson was third in the Stock STEM fun race. All three drivers represented Maple Grove.

In the Super Stock fun races, Boy Scout Troop 267’s Colden Noody was first and Boy Scout Troop 267’s Matthew Brown was second. Noah Collins was third, representing Frewsburg.

Best Decoration honors went to Adriana Hasson in the Stock Division and Matthew Brown in the Super Stock Division.
