Teeing It Up

The Chautauqua Sports Hall of Fame is planning for its second annual golf scramble on June 15 on the Lake Course at Chautauqua Golf Club. The tournament is open to the public. CSHOF inductees Stan Marshaus, left, and Sam Restivo are chairmen of the event, which will begin at 1 p.m. with a shotgun start. Men’s, ladies and mixed teams are welcome, but the field is limited to the first 31 foursomes registered. The fee, which is $300 per team, includes carts; pre-tournament lunch at noon; snacks and drinks on the course; and a post-tournament dinner. Teams will be divided into four flights after all scores are submitted. The winner of each flight will receive CSHOF golf shirts. Shults Auto Group is sponsoring a hole-in-one challenge. An ace on any of the four designated par 3s will earn the golfer $5,000 and the CSHOF an equal prize. To reserve a spot for a foursome, contact Marshaus at stan_marshaus@yahoo.com or call 716-499-9601. The deadline is June 7.
