LAKEWOOD — Max Vaughn fired a 38 to lead the Southwestern boys to a 39-16 Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 1 golf win over Olean at Maplehurst Country Club on Thursday.

Drake Bell added a 43 for the Trojans (11-1, 7-0).

Kamdyn McClain led the Huskies (4-4, 4-3) with a 48.

In girls action, Southwestern’s Josephine Corey and Maple Grove/Cassadaga Valley/Westfield/Forestville’s Maddy Lancaster shot matching 48s for medalist honors.

Maple Grove/Cassadaga Valley/Westfield/Forestville (5-1, 4-1) beat the Trojans (3-6, 3-4), 31.5-23.5.

FALCONER — Matching 41s by Falconer’s David Allen, Fredonia’s Nick Novelli and the Hillbillies’ Lucas Hoffman were all good for medalist honors as the Golden Falcons won a 30-25 nonleague match at Breezewood Links.

Falconer improved to 7-4 and the Hillbillies fell to 2-4.
