BASEBALL Adam Goot Cassadaga Valley Adam Goot led No. 12 Cassadaga Valley to a 3-1 win over No. 5 Randolph on Friday in Class C prequarterfinal action, striking out 10 and walking one in a complete-game performance. Goot also added two singles and an RBI at the plate.

SOFTBALL Mya Abrams Randolph Mya Abrams had six hits for No. 3 Randolph in a 24-6 Class C2 quarterfinal win over No. 6 Westfield on Thursday. Abrams belted a three-run home run and finished with nine RBIs.

BOYS TRACK & FIELD Noah Steinbroner Franklinville/Ellicottville/ West Valley Noah Steinbroner finished strong on Friday and Saturday at the Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Championships in Olean, leading Franklinville/Ellicottville/West Valley to the Division 3 boys crown by a single point over Maple Grove. Steinbroner took the 100 meters in 11.56 and the 200 meters in 23.52.

GIRLS TRACK & FIELD Samantha Gilbert Falconer/Cassadaga Valley Samantha Gilbert claimed four events at the Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Championships in Olean, taking home the 100 meters (12.68), 200 meters (26.0), long jump (16-10) and triple jump (35-6.5). Falconer/Cassadaga Valley finished in second place with 140 points.

GOLF Max Vaughn Southwestern Max Vaughn was the medalist at the Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Three-Man Division 1 Tournament on Thursday at Chautauqua Golf Club. He fired a 75 for Southwestern, finishing eight strokes ahead of second place.
