Taylor Named Jamestown Jackals’ Most Valuable Player At Banquet

Troy Taylor was named the Jamestown Jackals’ Most Valuable Player at the team’s season-ending banquet Tuesday night.

A point guard, Taylor was also the assist and steals leader in Jamestown’s first season in The Basketball League.

Other players honored include DeAngelo Stewart, leading scorer and most improved player; Daniel Mulamba, top rebounder, and Corey Wilford, integrity under pressure. The latter award was presented to Wilford for stepping up when the game was on the line and “doing everything in his power” for the team and performing under pressure.

Also honored were Michael Davenport, fan favorite (in a vote by the fans during the final home game); Jay Dupree-Gibson, #IntegrityFirst Community Impact Award; and Becki and Duane James, #IntegrityFirst Guardian Angel.
