Rebels Open Weekend With Win At New Jersey

MIDDLETOWN, N.J.–The Jamestown Rebels were able to hang on for a 2-1 North American Hockey League win over New Jersey on Friday, improving to 33-14-5-3.

James Crossman found the back of the net five minutes into the second period on feeds by Mason Kruse and Alex Frye, his 25th assist of the year.

Colin Schmidt made it 2-0 with Crossman and Seth Bergeron collecting assists.

Zach Nazzarett scored in the final minute for the hosts, but by that time the Rebels had their win all but sealed up. Ryan Keane made 24 saves in the win while Brandon Perrone stopped 28 shots for New Jersey.

Jamestown will look to earn another win at 7 tonight.
