JCC Women Improve Record To 14-2 With 65-46 Victory
BUTLER, Pa. — Returning to action on the road against Butler County Community College on Wednesday evening, the Jamestown CC women’s basketball team was able to improve to 14-2 on the year with a 65-46 NJCAA victory.
Casey Kretzer nailed six 3s on her way to 20 points but the Jayhawks held Makenzi Craig, who was averaging 27 points per game, to 8 points. Meanwhile, the Jayhawks’ offensive balance, led by Olivia Lynn’s 20 points, was more than enough to return home with a win.
Taylor Phelps finished with 15 points, Nicole Johnson had 11 and Alexis Rodenbaugh finished with 8 for the winners.
Carly Burdett chipped in 14 points for Butler CC.
Jamestown CC will return home after a long first-semester layoff for a meeting with Mercyhurst North East on Wednesday, Jan. 23 at the Physical Education Complex.
The Saints are currently 11-3 on the year.
