Jamestown’s Rodriguez, Olson, Zielinski, Schultz, White Recognized In Class A-1
Juston Johnson of West Seneca West has been named this year’s Section VI Class A-1 Most Valuable Player while Indians head coach Mike Vastola has been named Coach of the Year.
West Seneca West ended the year at 9-1, with Johnson catching 31 balls for 747 yards and eight touchdowns.
Jamestown’s Fran Rodriguez and Kenmore West’s Joe Stewart have both earned Offensive Player of the Year honors. The Red Raiders ended the year at 5-4 with Rodriguez rushing 106 times for 568 yards and nine scores.
Joining Rodriguez on the First Team Offense are teammates Peyton Olson, Josh Zielinski and Jayden Schultz.
Olson rushed 96 times for 599 yards and two scores and led Jamestown with 101 total tackles, while Zielinski anchored the Red Raiders offensive front and collected 64 tackles on defense.
Schultz ended the season with 34 kicking points.
Representing Jamestown on the First Team defense was linebacker Taige White.
Jake DeWolf of Niagara Wheatfield has been named the league’s Defensive Most Valuable Player; Liam Scheuer of West Seneca West has earned Most Valuable Lineman honors; Kenmore West has claimed the team sportsmanship award while Zac Boyes has earned the individual sportsmanship award.
