Stevenson Scores 32nd Goal In Trojans’ Saturday Win

Chase Stevenson scored three goals, the final one giving him 32 on the season, as Southwestern beat Jamestown, 9-1, in non-league boys soccer Saturday morning at Strider Field.

The Trojans (13-0-1, 8-0-1 CCAA West) led 3-0 at halftime on goals by Justin Morris, McKay Young and Stevenson. Bryce Deering and Marcus Kautzman had assists.

In the second half, Stevenson scored twice while Morris, Max Vaughn, Isac Pirrello and Michael Carnes also scored. Assists went to Deering, Stevenson, Pirrello, Vaughn and Jona Peterson.

Ben Livingston made four saves in the shutout.

Josh Loomis made eight saves for the Red Raiders (1-13-0, 0-10-0 ECIC 1), who picked up their tally on a Southwestern own goal.
