PANAMA — Senior Karianne Yuchnitz reached a state-qualifying cut in the 50-yard freestyle as Panama/Clymer/Maple Grove beat Salamanca, 121-22, on Senior Night.

Yuchnitz won the 50-yard freestyle in 24.74 seconds for the Panthers.

Hialeah Johnson was a double winner for the hosts, capturing the 200-yard freestyle (2:17.25) and 100-yard butterfly (1:16.96) while Izzy Bailey took first in the 200-yard individual medley (2:29.29) and 100-yard freestyle (56.75).

HUSKIES WIN ON FINAL EVENT

OLEAN — Olean/Portville/Franklinville won the 400-yard freestyle relay by less than 2 seconds to hand Frewsburg/Falconer a 95-90 defeat.

The Bears (7-1) led by a point going into the final event, but the Huskies took first place and also took third by 22 one-hundredths of a second to wrap up the victory.

Olean/Portville/Franklinville entered the night with the sixth-fastest 400-yard freestyle relay team in Section VI while Frewsburg/Falconer ranked seventh.

Alexis Trietley was a double winner for the hosts, capturing the 200-yard freestyle (2:00.83) and 100-yard freestyle (54.41).

Madison Kramer was a double winner in defeat, taking first in the 200-yard individual medley (2:23.30) and 100-yard backstroke (1:02.28).
