Rebels Back Keane With Four Goals In Win Over Johnstown

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. — The Jamestown Rebels scored a pair of goals in the opening period and road the strong play of Ryan Keane the rest of the way to a 4-1 win over Johnstown in North American Hockey League action on Friday.

Lewis Crosby grabbed his third goal of the season from Cam Cokinos and Nick Stuckless to start things off before Noah Finstrom made it 2-0 on an unassisted tally with four minutes left to play in the opening period.

Konur Peterson made it 3-0 in the second, taking advantage of passes by Jackson Wille and Sam Anzai while Stuckless got his first of the season at 4:13 of the final period.

Brayden Richards and Lewis Crosby assisted on the final Rebels’ goal while Andy Nedeljkovic broke the stalemate for the Tomahawks.

Keane finished with 27 saves in the win while Carter McPhail stopped 19 shots in defeat.

The teams will meet again tonight at 7 p.m. before the Rebels (3-3) return home to face New Jersey on Friday at 7:05 p.m. inside Northwest Arena.

NOTES: Jamestown defenseman Alexandre Roy announced his commit to play NCAA Division I hockey for the University of Nebraska-Omaha this week. Roy is this first player to commit to a collegiate team for Jamestown. The 6-foot-6 Quebec native has three points through seven games.
