Maple Grove Girls Tie Fredonia, 1-1

Maple Grove (14-1-1, 11-1) and Fredonia (8-6-2, 7-4-1) battled to a 1-1 stalemate in a Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association non-league soccer Thursday.

Laural Erick opened the scoring for the Hillbillies on a pass by Isabella Manning in the 13th minute.

Clare Crossley was able to tie things up seven minutes later on a pass from Chloe Kibbe for Maple Grove.

Kasie Craig made three saves for the Red Dragons and Kelly Gullo made five for Fredonia.

BLACK KNIGHTS PREVAIL

SILVER CREEK — Silver Creek (13-3, 9-3) blanked Cassadaga Valley (2-11, 2-10), 2-0, as Carly Barrett and Kylie Procknal found the back of the net while Emma Rice grabbed an assist to lead the winners in CCAA Central play.

STEVENSON SCORES PAIR

MAYVILLE — Southwestern’s Chase Stevenson collected his 33rd and 34th goals of the season in a 2-0 win over Chautauqua Lake (4-10-2, 3-7) in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association West Division.

The Trojans (15-0-1, 9-0-1) had assists from Michael Cammarata and Milko Studenko.

DRAGONS STILL PERFECT

NORTH COLLINS — Maple Grove (15-0, 10-0) blanked North Collins (6-8, 4-6), 3-0, in Central Division action with Tristan Spillane, Jack Novotny and Caleb Foley doing the scoring.

Foley and Nick Golando collected assists while Sam Cummings made three saves in the win.

EAGLES WIN

Ellicottville (9-6-1, 7-2-1) was a 2-0 winner over Portville (8-7-1, 4-5-1) in East Division play, thanks to goals by Alex Hunt and Jack Snyder.

Simon Lin and Noah Steinbroner had assists.

CARDS POST SHUTOUT

Kaleb Steward had a goal and an assist and Bryson Rozler a goal as Randolph (7-8-1, 5-4-1) blanked Salamanca/Cattaraugus-Little Valley (3-8-5, 2-7-1), 2-0.

Ethan Shields recorded an assist.
