Oldtimers Sweep Doubleheader To Even Record At 3-3

SALEM, Ohio — The Jamestown Oldtimers swept a doubleheader Sunday in the Ohio 50 Baseball League to improve their record to 3-3.

Jamestown topped Salem, 8-3, in Game 1 and, 8-3, in the second contest as well.

In the opener, Troy Johnson cracked a double while Mike Martin added a double and a home run. Ed Baldensperger got the win on the hill.

In the second game, Jamestown had John Larson and Rick Prindle smack doubles and Daryl Baldensperger added a pair of doubles. Ron Thomas was the winning pitcher.

Jamestown is now in second place in the National Division, behind Springfield, with 10 games remaining.

This Sunday the Old Timers will host the Youngstown Astros in a doubleheader at Diethrick Park, starting at 11 a.m.
