Caskey Scores 22 In Victory

Riley Caskey was the standout for Maple Grove in CCAA Division 1 West girls basketball Monday night.

Caskey scored 22 points, grabbed eight rebounds and added three steals as Maple Grove went to 3-2 in the league and 9-4 overall by defeating Falconer, 50-30.

Caskey scored 12 points in the first quarter when the Red Dragons came out with a 12-0 margin en route to a 31-7 halftime spread.

Courtney Hemminger chipped in with 9 points and six rebounds in the victory.

Sarah Disbro led Falconer with 7 points.

CATTARAUGUS — Megan Chapman’s hot hand in the first quarter was the difference as Ellicottville topped Cattaraugus-Little Valley, 44-33, in CCAA Division 2 East action.

Chapman scored 12 of her 16 points during a 12-2 opening eight minutes as the Eagles took the lead early.

Chapman also brought down eight rebounds to be second to Linnea Jimerson’s 10 rebounds in the win. Also, Lauren Eaton had eight rebounds in a losing cause.

Mckenna Smith had 10 points for Ellicottville, now 2-2 in the league and 5-6 overall.

Bailey Gostomski led the Timberwolves (1-3, 4-9) with 15 points.
