BOYS SOCCER, Chase Stevenson, Southwestern. Chase Stevenson netted a hat trick as Southwestern locked up the Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association West Division title with a 6-2 win over Maple Grove. Stevenson scored from Bryce Deering in the seventh minute, from Isac Pirello in the 35th minute and from Justin Morris in the 59th minute. Stevenson also assisted on a Morris goal in the 10th minute. Stevenson also had a goal and an assist in a 5-2 win over Falconer/Cassadaga Valley on Wednesday night.
GIRLS SOCCER, Maddie Sohl, Frewsburg. Maddie Sohl had six goals and three assists in wins over Pine Valley and Westfield last week. On Tuesday, Sohl assisted on Gabby Iuculano’s goal in the second minute, scored back-to-back goals in the 10th and 12th minutes, scored in the 16th minute and assisted on Mikayla Corrigan’s 21st-minute goal as the Bears took a 6-0 lead. In the second half, Sohl scored in the 48th minute as Frewsburg beat the Panthers, 10-1. On Thursday, Sohl scored in the fourth minute and the 50th minute before assisting on Renae Johnson’s 59th-minute goal as the Bears beat the Wolverines, 4-2.
FOOTBALL, Easton Tanner, Maple Grove. Easton Tanner accounted for 421 yards and five touchdowns as Maple Grove beat Randolph/Frewsburg, 39-6, in Class D action Friday night. Tanner ran for 212 yards, including touchdowns of 66, 63 and 74 yards; threw for 160 yards, including touchdowns of 36 and 11 yards; and returned a punt 49 yards for the Red Dragons.
VOLLEYBALL, Maddy Russo, Maple Grove. Maddy Russo had a pair of strong showings as Maple Grove beat Southwestern and Cassadaga Valley last week. Russo had 17 kills and four aces in the Red Dragons’ 24-26, 25-13, 25-11, 25-9, South Division victory over the Trojans on Wednesday. In a 25-15, 25-21, 25-12 non-league win over the Cougars on Friday, Russo had 12 kills and 20 aces.
GIRLS SWIMMING, Madison Kramer, Frewsburg. Madison Kramer was a double winner in both of Frewsburg’s swimming victories last week. Kramer won the 100-yard butterfly (1:05.97) and 100-yard backstroke (1:06.89) as the Bears beat Allegany-Limestone, 130-65, on Tuesday. On Thursday, Kramer won the 50-yard freestyle (26.47) and 500-yard freestyle (5:39.13) as the Bears beat Salamanca, 125-58.
BOYS CROSS COUNTRY, Matt Evans, Randolph. Matt Evans finished in third place overall with a time of 17:33.7 at the 25th annual Southern Tier Classic hosted by Allegany-Limestone on Saturday.

GIRLS TENNIS, Macy Youngberg, Falconer. Macy Youngberg lost just one set in a pair of Falconer victories last week. On Tuesday, Youngberg beat Chautauqua Lake’s Autumn Shuskie, 3-6, 6-3, 6-2, as the Golden Falcons prevailed, 4-1. On Wednesday, Youngberg outlasted Frewsburg’s Meredith Franzen, 6-1, 6-3, in another 4-1 win for Falconer.

GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY, Ellie Decker, Silver Creek. Ellie Decker finished in third place overall with a time of 21:12.9 at the 25th annual Southern Tier Classic hosted by Allegany-Limestone on Saturday.
