Two city men were taken into custody Wednesday as part of the continuing investigation into crack cocaine trafficking in Jamestown.
Dwight A. Leeper, 38, of 28 Euclid Ave., Jamestown, and Larico R. Jones, 28, of Broadhead Avenue, Jamestown, were charged after the Jamestown Police Department and members of the New York State Police's Community Narcotics Enforcement Team executed a search warrant at 28 Euclid Ave., Apartment 111, at 9:25 p.m.
The JPD's SWAT team conducted entry and upon securing the residence, investigators located several thousand dollars' worth of powder and crack cocaine, weighing over 2 ounces, drug paraphernalia and a small quantity of marijuana. Several thousand dollars of cash was also located inside the apartment.
Leeper and Jones were each charged with a count of criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell while Leeper was additionally charged with criminal use of drug paraphernalia.
The JPD's K-9 unit also assisted with the investigation.
