Boating Class Set For Sunday
MAYVILLE - The last Safe Boating Class of the season is Sunday. Safe Boating Classes meet all the requirements for the New York Safe Boating Program. The Sunday class will be held at Chautauqua Marina, 104 W. Lake Road, Mayville. The course is for adults and children ages 10 years of age and up. The course fee is $45. The materials fee is $5. Bible School Begins Aug. 11
The Jamestown Free Methodist Church, 515 E. Seventh St., Jamestown, will hold ''SonSurf Beach Bash,'' Aug. 11-15 from 6:30-8 p.m. The vacation Bible school is open to children entering Kindergarten this fall to entering the fifth grade. Bible School Week Scheduled
The Baptist Church of Ellington, 530 Route 62, one-half mile north of the village, will conduct a vacation Bible school from 6-8:30 p.m. Aug. 11-15. ''Agency 3 Secret Agent,'' for children in pre-kindergarten through sixth grade will include a Bible lesson, crafts, games, missions, snacks and familiar songs.
Set For Tuesday
SINCLAIRVILLE - The next meeting of the Valley Historical Society will be the annual family picnic on Tuesday at 6 p.m. in the Sinclairville Village Park. Members are asked to bring a dish of food to pass, their own table service and a beverage.

The Mary E. Seymour Memorial Free Library trustees board will meet in the Cassadaga Branch Library meeting room on Tuesday at 10 a.m.
JPS Board To Meet Tuesday
The Jamestown Public Schools board of education will meet Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the board room at 197 Martin Road. The board will go into executive session prior to the regular meeting and adjourn the executive session to begin the regular meeting at 7 p.m.
Bible Camp Begins Aug. 18
The Pine Valley Community vacation Bible school Bible camp, Camp Creation - ''Camping With Jesus," for children ages 3 to 13, will be held Aug. 18-20 from 6-8:15 p.m. at the Cherry Creek/Leon United Methodist Church. Activities will include stories, songs, snacks, games, crafts, drama and campfires. Family members are invited to attend on Wednesday, Aug. 20.
Ripley Board To Meet Thursday
RIPLEY - A special meeting of the Ripley Central School Board of Education will be held on Thursday at 6 p.m., at Meeder's Restaurant, for the purpose of a board retreat to discuss any and all items that come before the board.
Concert Series Continues Thursday
SINCLAIRVILLE - The Village of Sinclairville Summer Concert will be held on Thursday in the Village Commons. The Cassadaga Area Concert Band will play from 6:30-8:30 p.m. The concert if free, bring your own seating for an evening of listening to your favorite tunes.
