A community service organization associated with Kiwanis International and sponsored by the Lakewood Kiwanis Club, the Southwestern High School Key Club has been busy this year.
Many members volunteered in a variety of capacities on their own, and the Key Club members worked as a club to help support local organizations. First, many members assisted the Busti Historical Society and the Lakewood Kiwanis at the Busti Apple Festival.
Then, many members also raised monetary donations and showed support by walking for the Chautauqua County Humane Society's "Walk 4 Paws." Also, some members assisted the Jamestown Community College and the AAUW by helping set up for the What's New Fair. Many Key Club volunteers also supported the Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign as bell ringers, and some also assisted at the Strike Out Heart Disease fundraiser at the Jamestown Fountain Bowl.
