LAKEWOOD - On Monday, Heritage Living is launching the Mall Walkers club that is open to the entire community. The purpose of this club is to provide a unique opportunity for community members to achieve health and wellness goals while having a bit of fun.
Participants in the Mall Walkers Club will take a virtual tour of Chautauqua County for the first 16 weeks of this program. Area businesses, services, and attractions have partnered with Heritage Living to offer incentives to participants along the way. Some of the partners include the Chautauqua Mall, the Chautauqua County Visitors Bureau, the Dutch Village in Clymer, the Stagecoach West in Irving, Webb's Captain's Table in Mayville, the Chautauqua County Historical Society McClurg Museum in Westfield, and the Corner Coffee House and Bistro in Frewsburg.
Anyone interested in joining the club should visit the Heritage Living mall location near JC Penney. After just one week of walking, participants can earn a free pedometer to help track their progress. All participants will receive a club member ID and a Weekly Walking Journal. Community members can join the club at any point during the 16-week tour. In addition, weekly prize drawings, activities, and educational seminars will be offered to members.
Heritage Living at the mall is serving the community by providing an easy-access location for area seniors, and their families, to get answers to questions about a senior's evolving needs. Heritage Living is open weekdays 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Anyone looking for more information about the programming available at Heritage Living should call 763-5608. Heritage Living is a service provided by Heritage Ministries, which is a nonprofit, human service organization serving the Chautauqua County region with over 800 employees.
