BROCTON - Preschool story time, with Mrs. Westin and Mrs. Raymond, will be hosted by the Ahria Hall Memorial Library on Friday at 10 a.m. The theme is ''Be My Valentine!''
To Meet Friday
BEMUS POINT - Ellery Senior Citizens will meet on Friday at 12:30 p.m. in St. Timothy Lutheran Church, Bemus Point. Members attending should take a dish to pass. Marty Hunt, Bernice Swanson and Elaine Crossley are the committee. Kathryn McCarthy will speak on the history of the Bemus Point Library. The group recently celebrated Christmas with a dinner in the Hare 'N' Hound Restaurant. A musical program was presented by the Chautauqua Shores Chorus. Celebrating birthdays were Jack Samuelson, Carol Shay, Mary Ann Davis, Autumn Swanson, Avis West, Kay Crossley, Elaine Crossley and Carolyn Wickerham. For more information, call 386-2868.
TOPS Members Weigh In
Twenty-two TOPS 721 Jamestown members weighed in recently. Best losers were Lillian Brown, TOPS and Jackie Anderson, KOPS. Prize winners were Mary Moore, Julie Davis and Linda Pompileo. A Chinese auction was held. Ethel Scott was the monthly raffle winner and Davis won the workers raffle. The thought was the quickest way to lose weight is to get started right now. Chapter weigh-in is 8:30-9:30 a.m. each Thursday in the Kidder United Methodist Church, corner of South Main and Cole, followed by a meeting. For more information, call 763-4626.
To Meet Friday
GERRY - The Rodeo City Senior Citizens will meet Friday at noon at the United Methodist Church for a Valentine's Day luncheon and program. The program will be a musical program with the Chautauqua Shores performing for the group. New members are always welcome.
Spanos To Appear On Show
Senior Report with Reed Powers will have Dr. MaryAnn Spanos as the guest Saturday. Spanos is director of the Chautauqua County Office for the Aging. The live, call-in program airs from 9-10 a.m. on Saturday morning. Individuals may call 753-5225 during that time with questions or comments. The program is rebroadcast each day at 2 and 8 p.m. for some communities. Reed Powers, host of Senior Report, has been producing the television program since 1995. The series highlights senior citizen club news for 15 minutes with the remainder of the hour-long program devoted to the featured guest. The guest is subject to change. Senior Report is shown live on Saturday mornings on Time Warner cable systems covering the following communities: Brocton, Cassadaga, Chautauqua, Fredonia, Mayville, North Harmony, Portland, Ripley, Sherman, Stockton and Westfield on Channel 5. In Dunkirk, Falconer, Forestville, Hanover, Irving, Jamestown, Lakewood and Silver Creek the program is on channel 19. The show originates at the Access Channel 5 studio in Mayville.
