Jamestown Board of Public Utilities water customers in Lakewood should be aware that, weather permitting, water will be off at 8:30 a.m. today on Oak Street between Mapleview and Grandview for the installation of a new hydrant. Discolored water may result in the village for 12-18 hours following restoration of the water.
Can Drive Set For Saturday
ASHVILLE - The Ashville Boy Scout Troop No. 141 will host a pop can drive Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Jim Wroda Auction House, 2118 Magnolia Ave. in Ashville. The troop will collect returnable cans and bottles to raise money to support the troops' community service activities.

SINCLAIRVILLE - The town of Charlotte Board will hold a regular meeting Nov. 6 at 7 p.m. at 8 Lester St., Sinclairville. All are welcome.
Trick-Or-Treating Hours Set
SINCLAIRVILLE - Trick-or-treat hours for the village of Sinclairville will be held from 5-7 p.m. tonight. A Halloween parade and party will begin at the Sinclairville Fire Hall at 7.
Rummage Sale Begins Friday
CHERRY CREEK - The Cherry Creek/Leon United Methodist Church on Main Street in Cherry Creek will host a rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. A bag and bake sale will take place Saturday.
Chicken Dinner Set For Saturday
Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 20 N. Phetteplace St., Falconer, will hold a chicken and biscuit dinner from 5-7 p.m. on Saturday. The cost is $8 for adults; children, ages 5-10, $3; and under age 5, free. Proceeds will benefit the mission fund. Takeouts are available; call 665-2102.

KIANTONE - The Kiantone Fire Department, 2318 Foote Ave., Extension, will hold a turkey party and gun drawing Friday beginning at 7 p.m. In addition to the gun, drawings will be held for turkeys, hams, a 40-inch flat-screen TV, a 32-inch flat-screen TV and money. Food will be provided.

To Hold Dinner
BEMUS POINT - The Thule Lodge, located at 4123 Pancake Hill Road, will hold its last Friday night dinner of the season this Friday at the lodge from 5-7 p.m. The dinner is open to everyone, and everyone is welcome. The menu will include a fish dinner prepared in one of three ways, breaded, broiled or pan-fried. A second choice dinner will be the Swedish triple dinner, which will include Swedish meatballs, korv, and kaldolmars. Rotmos or mashed potatoes will also be available to go with the meal. Desserts are also available. Thule Lodge, now in its 106th year, serves to preserve the Swedish heritage through events and activities. New members are always welcome.
