Crop Circles Talk Set For Today
LILY DALE - "The Sacred Geometry of Crop Circles" will be presented at 6 p.m. today by guest lecturer Fred Rusher at the Church of the Living Spirit, Assembly Hall, Cleveland Ave. The program offered free of charge, focuses on Rusher's research and is based on "The Keys of Enoch," by Dr. J.J. Nurtak. Rusher, owner of Geo-Cosmetic Arts, uses crop circle photographs to recreate the sacred geometry in various metals, stones and wood. His talk also covers healing properties linked to sacred geometry.
Halloween Party Set For Saturday
LAKEWOOD - The Lakewood American Legion Post 1286 Auxiliary is holding its annual Children's Halloween Party on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the club. There will be snacks, games, tricks and treats. Music and fun provided by DJ's Unlimited. This event is open to all Lakewood American Legion Post 1286 members' children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Dress the kids up in their favorite costume and come join the fun. GOP Candidates To Meet Friday
Republican political candidates will hold a meet and greet Friday from 7-8:30 p.m. at the Boomerang Cafe located at 897 Southwestern Drive, Jamestown. Candidates at the meet and greet will include: Vince Horrigan, P.J. Wendel, Todd Hanson, Ken Lawton and Brett Mucheck. Cookies, doughnuts and coffee will be provided. Horrigan is running for county executive, Wendel is seeking the District 10 seat in the Chautauqua County Legislature, and Hanson, Lawton and Mucheck are seeking reelection to the Busti Town Board.
Library Sale Begins Thursday
WARREN, Pa. - The annual Warren Public Library Clearance Sale will be held in the Slater Room, 310 Market St., Warren, Thursday from 10 a.m. to 7:45 p.m., Friday from 10 a.m. to 4:45 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Chairwoman Karen Roseborough said there is something for all ages and interests. Hundreds of soft and hard-covered books are arranged by interests. The library volunteers also organize the adult and children audio books, music CDs, DVDs, videos, plus trade papers. A door prize gift basket will be available. The public is invited to the clearance sale. This year is the Warren Public Library's 140th anniversary. Proceeds benefit the Warren Public Library's programs and operation costs.
