The Spire, in downtown Jamestown will produce four performances of ''The Great American Trailer Park Musical,'' May 24, 25, 31 and June 1.
The musical show portrays the fun and games in a Northern Florida trailer park, with the accompaniment of what is billed as ''The Trailer Trash Band.''
Performances begin at 8 p.m., and tickets cost $12 if purchased in advance or $15, if purchased at the door. Make advance purchases at The Labyrinth Press Company, on East Fourth Street, in Jamestown, or by phoning 450-7357.
The Spire is located in the former First Congregational Church, directly across Third Street from the U.S. Post Office.

Buffalo's Ujima Theater Company will perform the play ''Breath, Boom,'' by Kia Corthron. The play follows a young, African-American woman from leadership in a teenage gang at age 16, to maturity at age 30. Lorna C. Hill directs.
Performances take place at Theatre Loft, 545 Elmwood Ave., in Buffalo. Performances are Thursdays through Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 6 p.m., plus a matinee on Saturdays at 2 p.m. Tickets cost $25 for the general public, $20 for senior citizens and $15 for students. The United Arts Appeal for Chautauqua County is an organization which makes a single, joint appeal to individuals, businesses and organizations for support for the arts. The appeal has recently divided its budget among the regular member organizations of the appeal, and a projects pool, which gives individual grants to artists and to local arts organizations, based upon an application process.
This year's projects pool recipients include artists Debra Eck, Eric Johnson, Joanne Merrick Johnson and Valerie Walawender.
Organizations receiving grants include the Boys and Girls Club of Northern Chautauqua County, the Chautauqua Region Youth Symphony, Great Lake FX: New York State of Mind, the Jamestown Department of Parks, Recreation and Conservation, Patterson Library in Westfield, the Resource Center and the Village of Westfield Recreation Department.
Congratulations to all the recipients, and thanks to the many people who did the enormous labor of doing the Appeal's work.

It's hard to believe, but in two weeks, it will be June. The 1891 Fredonia Opera House will hold their annual Bach & Beyond Festival, June 14-16. Among the highlights of this year's performances will be a talented young harpist, performing with the musical ensemble and soloists who will include soprano Janet Brown. The festival celebrates not only Baroque music, but music from all periods which either influenced Johann Sebastian Bach, or which has been influenced by Bach.

Students who want to see the Broadway hit ''Jersey Boys'' at Shea's Performing Arts Center in Buffalo, and who are willing to risk trying for Rush Seats are encouraged to go to Shea's box office, two hours before tonight's curtain time, of 8 p.m. with their student I.D. in hand. At of this writing there are some seats available, and they will be sold for $25. Shea's is located at 646 Main St., in the Downtown Buffalo Theater District.
