JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
Donald J. Apperson, 29, was charged with driving while intoxicated. Officers on Wednesday at 9:49 p.m. stopped a 2000 Jeep traveling north on Winsor Street for having only one taillight. Apperson was allegedly found to be intoxicated and was transported to Jamestown City Jail where he refused a chemical test to determine his blood alcohol level.
Brandy N. Burley 28, was charged with petit larceny. Officers on Wednesday at 6:28 p.m. were dispatched to Family Dollar on South Main Street for a female attempting to steal merchandise from the store. Police learned Burley allegedly passed all points of purchase with $27 worth of merchandise. She was transported to City Jail without incident.
Jimi J. Sobczak, 37, and Maurita L. Shaver, 27, both of Jamestown were charged with petit larceny. Police said both subjects were seen by Wal-Mart employees allegedly taking $257.85 worth of merchandise without paying. They were issued appearance tickets and will be in Busti Court at a later date.
NEW YORK STATE POLICE
SHERMAN - Mark Reynolds, 47, was charged with driving while intoxicated. Troopers on Tuesday pulled a vehicle over on Kipp Street. Reynolds allegedly failed several field sobriety tests and was transported to barracks where he provided a blood alcohol content of .10 percent. A recent DWI conviction within the last 10 years upgraded the charge to a felony. Reynolds was processed, issued tickets and turned over to a sober individual.
CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE
LEON - Mahlon D. Gingrich, 18, of Eldredge Road was charged with petit larceny and third-degree burglary. Police said Gingrich broke into Adams Lumber Mill and took five cans of pop. He was arraigned and committed to Cattaraugus County Jail. Gingrich will be in court at a later date.
MANSFIELD - Robert W. Crosby, 45, was charged with endangering the welfare of an incompetent or physically disabled person. Crosby was taken into custody without incident for allegedly causing injury to a victim at a state disability home. He was arraigned and committed to County Jail.
