Three men have been charged after breaking into a Jamestown residence.
Officers were alerted Tuesday around 11:30 p.m. for a report of a possible burglary attempt and criminal mischief complaint on Prendergast Avenue.
Upon arrival, it was learned that Demarco D. Latham, 24, of Jamestown; Fred Miles, 26, of Rochester; and Laval A. Johnson, 28, of Jamestown, had allegedly kicked the vicitm's front door and fled the scene.
Police tracked the suspects to Fulton Street, where they believed a second home invasion was taking place. Latham, Miles and Johnson were found inside a residence, but did not come out when instructed by police.
The three men were eventually taken into custody without incident and transported to Jamestown City Jail.
Police learned that Latham and Miles lied about their identity once in custody.
Latham and Miles were charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief, false personation and second-degree obstructing governmental administration.
Johnson was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree obstructing governmental administration. All three men were awaiting arraignment in Jamestown Court.
