CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE
WESTFIELD - Herbert Schultz, 47, was charged with common law driving while intoxicated, DWI per se with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or higher, failure to keep right and operating a motor vehicle while on a mobile device. Deputies on Sunday at 9:53 p.m. saw a vehicle traveling in the town of Portland failing to keep right. Schultz was charged, released with traffic tickets and will be in court later.
NEW YORK STATE POLICE
ELLICOTT - Shawn Didomenico, 38, of East Elmwood Avenue, was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Police pulled Didomenico's vehicle over for having a loud exhaust in the city of Jamestown. Troopers report seeing him dropping a plastic baggie containing one gram of cocaine. He was taken to police barracks and processed, and was awaiting arraignment.
ELLICOTT - Matthew Minekime, 33, of Harmon Street, was charged with driving while intoxicated. Minekime was stopped for failure to stop at a stop sign in the town of Ellicott. Minekime failed field sobriety tests and was transported to police barracks where he provided a breath sample of .10 percent. He was released with traffic tickets and is due back in court at a later date.
CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE
OLEAN - Thomas D. Doner, 33, of Newton Street, Salamanca, was charged with two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and two counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance. Police charged Doner after a lengthy investigation by the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force. Doner was taken into custody Feb. 22 on an indictment warrant out of Cattaraugus County. The Sheriff's Office and Salamanca police assisted in the investigation. Doner was taken to County Jail.
Shamori L. Houston, 32, of Second Avenue, Falconer, was charged with larceny on Saturday. Police report Houston took $1,200 from a purse before throwing the purse out of an apartment window. Houston was taken to the Chautauqua County Jail pending bail.
