FALCONER - Town of Ellicott residents will see a slight difference in their ward lines following the town board's annual organizational meeting Monday night.
The board unanimously adopted a town reapportionment proposal, which annexes a small portion of Ward 4 on to Ward 2. The annexation was necessary to keep all ward population sizes within 5 percent of each other.
The board also discussed possible replacements for the vacant seat in Ward 3 left by Lucian Lodestro.
"George (Beckerink) and I had four interviews for the position today, and I am confident that we will have a recommendation ready by the next time this board meets," said Cecil Miller, town supervisor.
During its annual organizational meeting, the board established and confirmed several town positions and practices.
This list of organizational practices, which was presented as a motion by Miller, was seconded and passed unanimously by the board.
